The Toano Open Air Market

If you are local to the greater Williamsburg area you might be familiar with the Williamsburg farmers market, but the real gem in the area is the Toano Open Air Market. Located in Toano, about 15 minutes North of Williamsburg, the market is all run by a single person with every vendor working and producing their items all around the Williamsburg area. It has a little bit of everything you could ask for in a farmers market.

On the food end of the spectrum we have Pomocray Farmms, Molinas Macarons, Allen Farms, Foodatude Foodtruck, Tartan Treats,Virginia Bread Co, Mockingbird Farms and other vendors. The varity between all the farms and food vendors is amazing, everything from fresh produce, fruits, jams and jellies to macarons, fresh sourdough, coffee cakes, handmade spice blends and even fresh butchered meats.

The other half of the vendors provide locally made goods and services. We have Vintage summers, Twice as High Records, Jack the Knife, The Broom Closet, Blue Bard Pottery, myself, Bee's Knees, Tasha's Own, Bouquets of Blessing, and more. Between us, theres wooden toy makers, knife sharpening, vintage clothing, vintage records, virginia made pottery, soaps, candles and perfumes, birdhouses, duck calls, and of course my own handmade leather bags, belts, and other goods.

The Market is every Saturday from 9-1 in Toano Virginia across from Hohle coffee house, at 1891 Church lane. Parking is available in the small lot at the head of the feild, hohle, and the grass area behind the market. The Market is held from Mid March to Mid December, with the market generally open unless the prevailing weather is dangerous. Check the facebook group for updates on vendors, products and market status.
