How the leather goods are made in my shop

Infrastructure

So as you all know, I’ve started participating in the local farmers market, known as the “Toano Open Air Market.” The market is held outdoors in a field, across the street from “Hohle” the local coffee house in Toano, Va. Anyone who has ever done an event outdoors in Virginia, knows a tent is essential Our summers are sweltering and humid with tons of direct sunlight, and the spring and fall can often go from bright and sunny to pouring rain with a moments notice.

For the first few shows my gracious bosses over at James River Audio Visual very kindly loaned me their tent. Which let me get started and make enough profit to order my own tent. On the advice of my leather working mentor I ordered this beautiful Tent from Eurmax on Amazon. This is their 10x10 canopy with the awning offering, it also includes all 4 walls in the kit as well as sandbags. I have to say I am pretty impressed with the design and build quality, All of the triggers are built out of thicker plastic and don’t feel near as flimsy as other offerings. The Canopy uses a series of 4 main straps to secure it across the frame, both stretching the canopy and adding some tension to the frame. All of the components are held together with allen headed bolts, so no rivets to remove if something fails, and all of the parts to fix it are available on their site. Looking forward to many years of happy service with this Eurmax Tent. If anyone has any questions about it, I’d be glad to answer it.
